“It is an offence, under the Currency and Banknotes Act 1928 (section 12), if “any person prints, or stamps, or by any like means impresses, on any bank note, any words, letters or figures”.
Just thought I’d get this out of the way before I get into trouble. This is purely a fun project, and should not be taken seriously. Any words I have written are in erasable pen (e.g. with blue ink from a fountain pen, which is easily removed) or a pencil, so therefore should not shorten the life of the banknote in any way.
